Indonesian Actor Epy Kusnandar Passes Away, Laid to Rest at Jeruk Purut Cemetery

PURWAKARTA ONLINE - Indonesian veteran actor Epy Kusnandar passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 14:24 local time. The news was confirmed by his wife, Karina Ranau, through an Instagram post. His body was laid in repose at Harmony Residence 88 in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, before being buried at Jeruk Purut Public Cemetery on December 4, 2025, at 08:00 AM.

Epy Kusnandar was widely recognized for his iconic role as Kang Mus in the hit television series Preman Pensiun. He began acting in theater during his school years and later studied at the Jakarta Institute of the Arts. His television debut came in 1996 with the series 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan, which marked the beginning of his rise in the entertainment industry.

Throughout his career, Epy appeared in numerous TV dramas and films, earning respect as one of Indonesia’s prominent senior actors. Beyond acting, he and his wife operated a food business, Jukut Goreng Samali, which gained attention in 2025 due to a reported disturbance later clarified as a misunderstanding.
